Big Change MCR overcomes practical barriers so that people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, can move on positively with their lives. The fund provides items that make a real, long-term change.
Big Change MCR works with charities and organisations providing frontline services to people experiencing homelessness. They know the people they are working with and understand what would make a difference.
Items under £100 can be applied for using a short form. For items over £100, a panel agrees the spending within 48 hours. The panel includes a person with lived experience of homelessness, and representatives from Barnabus, Shelter, Reach Out to the Community, MASH, Manchester City Council, Allied London and CityCo.
Most of your donation goes directly into the funding pot. For donations over £200, Local Giving takes 5%.
