It’s a place of welcome and hospitality for asylum seekers & refugees.

Our English classes are for asylum seekers and refugees who are not able to get a place at college. If you already attend classes at another college, we can't offer you a place here too

Conversation Club on Zoom
Our online conversation club is for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Birmingham.
Conversation Club meets on Zoom on Wednesday mornings, 11.00 - 12.30 for English conversation in small groups.
We have a different topic each week. Some examples of topics are food and cooking, weather and climate change, free time and hobbies, keeping healthy, and education and skills.
This group is not suitable for beginners.

- Food can be collected from St Chad's Sanctuary once a week if you are an asylum seeker or refugee. You can either drop in during our operating hours or book an appointment
- It is possible to arrange for food to be delivered if you are a refugee or asylum seeker who is isolating due to covid-19. Please get in touch if this is the case.
Who can get clothing from St Chad's Sanctuary?
- If you are an asylum seeker or refugee living in Home Office hostels in Birmingham, the clothes need to to be ordered via an online form. Once the form has been completed, we will make contact to arrange an appointment for the clothes to be collected.
- For asylum seekers and refugees who are not living in home office hostels in Birmingham, you can collect clothing from St Chad's Sanctuary as long as you have not accessed this service within the last three months.
