SIFA Fireside

VerifiedRegistered Charity
Homelessness Support Centre
SIFA Fireside supports adults aged 25 and over in Birmingham who are experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness, or living in unstable housing. They offer a safe, welcoming place where people can get support, rebuild confidence, and take steps towards greater stability and independence.

Support is available for people at different stages, including:
  • Prevention – early help for people at risk of homelessness, including benefits support, housing guidance, and health and wellbeing services.
  • Homelessness support – practical help such as hot meals, showers, clean clothes, internet access, and access to health support including nursing, podiatry, optician and mental health services.
  • Recovery and skills – workshops, creative activities and peer mentoring that help people build skills, confidence and routine.

People can self-refer by attending the service, and professionals can also signpost or support someone to access SIFA Fireside. Staff take time to listen and work at a pace that feels manageable, helping people find next steps rather than facing things alone.

By offering early support, practical help and routes into recovery, SIFA Fireside helps reduce the pressures that can lead to homelessness or make it harder to move on from it, supporting people to stay safer, healthier and more secure.

Opening times:
Emergency & rough sleeper support: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–12:45pm
